CONOR MCGREGOR has shared a snap of himself puffing smoke on a sofa to celebrate “420 day” on Instagram.
The Irish superstar, 33, is closing in on a return to UFC after suffering a broken leg last time out to Dustin Poirier.
He has been keeping his legion of fans updated on his progress throughout his recovery and looks to be in incredible shape.
However, he took a break from training earlier in order to share another snap of himself to his social media followers.
McGregor was sitting in a jazzy shirt and black jeans on a sofa with a huge cloud of smoke in front of him, and he captioned it with: “Happy 420 day.”
The “420 Day” is celebrated every year on April 20, where cannabis producers, consumers and advocates celebrate and smoke marijuana.
McGregor previously giggled as he enjoyed Mike Tyson’s home-grown strain of marijuana in Dublin back in 2018.
The pair met up in Dublin, a far cry from Tyson’s 40-acre ranch in California – where recreational marijuana is now legal.
And McGregor shared the results of the former heavyweight champion’s labour on Instagram.
McGregor captioned the post: “Some giggle off that Cherry pick Kush.”
BETTING SPECIAL – GET FURY AT 30/1 OR WHYTE AT 100/1
This latest post comes after reports that Leon Edwards has been “offered” step-aside money in order to allow McGregor to fight welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
The pride of Birmingham is currently the next in line to challenge the dominant Usman for the 170lb strap
But former two-division champion McGregor recently thrust his name into the title picture with a shock call-out of the Nigerian Nightmare – which former UFC star Chael Sonnen has claimed – without an ounce of proof – has resulted in a step-aside offer being sent Edwards’ way.
He said: “I am being told that Leon has been offered his show and his win [money], whatever was negotiated for Leon to fight Kamaru is being offered to him.
“‘We will mail you a cheque to step aside. We have the right to push you aside, we don’t want any hard feelings and we acknowledge that you deserve this.
“So, we are going to send you what you agreed on and you get to stay home.’ With the belief being that Conor’s going to step in.
“I don’t believe this rumour by the way, I’m just sharing with you anytime you don’t have something locked up.
“Leon [vs Kamaru] is not done. There are some real moving parts there, quite frankly I don’t know if we are going to see Kamaru Usman fight in two years from now.”
