She explained on the ‘Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK’ Facebook group that her Haven holiday was initially priced at £519 when she booked it.

However, the price kept going down until the day before her departure, when it reached £429.

All she had to do to was contact Haven and show them the price difference to get a refund.

The best part is that anyone can do it, and it’s completely free, thanks to Haven’s ‘Price Promise’.

According to the Haven’s website, you’ll be entitled to use this trick as long as your booking confirmation shows a ‘Price Promise’ entry.

Usually, all bookings made directly with Haven will have one.

The only catch is that you’ll have to check that the same holiday has been lowered in price on the site before your departure to get the refund.

If it does, all you have to do is reach out to Haven, and they will match the price and refund you the difference.

People flocked to the comments on the original post, as many had no idea this was included in your booking.

One person said they were now “due a £216 refund” and thanked the original poster.

Another shared: “I have had £267 back on our holiday. We go tomorrow!”.

A third added: “I have just done this and getting back £130. Thanks for posting this or I would have never known.”

While another person shared they “have done it three times, getting £230 back.”

They added that the trick can be used multiple times, saying, “as long as the exact same dates and caravan are still available and they’re cheaper than what you originally paid, they will keep refunding you the difference.”
