Ruchi Joshi and Purvi Janardhan, longtime Saratoga residents and dog lovers, have co-founded theDogHood.com, a dog-care platform dedicated to dog parents. It’s a free app that connects dog owners automatically by city so they can share local resources, services and tips, and create playdates and gatherings. The app has grown to include 400 cities, and Saratoga is among the fastest-growing in the Bay Area.
The Saratoga Foothill Club building, designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan, is a work of art. It’s fitting that a renowned artist is headlining a benefit concert to help fund restoration of the historic club. Katya Grineva, the only solo female pianist to have performed at Carnegie Hall 20 times, will play a benefit concert at the Foothill Club on Friday, Feb. 17. Residents of the Saratoga Retirement Community (SRC) showed their appreciation at an annual fundraiser to support SRC’s hardworking and caring employees. This year, approximately $240,000 was raised for the SRC Employee Appreciation fund, which goes directly to the well-deserving staff.
