Manchester City and Tottenham meet for the second time in three weeks but this go-around will take place in North London.

The pregame narrative: The Spurs took an early 2-0 lead over City on January 19 only to concede four straight goals en route to a loss. We’re expecting a better showing from Tottenham on Sunday and are backing Antonio Conte’s side to win or tie on the back of a big performance from Heung-min Son.

Manchester City vs. Tottenham picks

Best Bet : Tottenham to win or tie (+108)

Tottenham have struggled coming out of the international break but we have good reason to believe they’ll turn in a favourable result against Manchester City this weekend.

First off, this is a fixture that the Spurs have dominated lately.

Tottenham have won three straight Premier League home games against Man City by a combined score of 5 to 0. They’ve also picked up points in five of their last seven Premier League games against Pep Guardiola’s side, with both losses being away at Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham’s recent 4-2 defeat in Manchester isn’t ideal but the latter has been a buzzsaw at home this season, winning nine of its 11 fixtures (9-1-1). City are less impressive away and have conceded points in four of their nine road games (5-2-2).

Tottenham are also trending upward in regard to player fitness.

Rodrigo Bentancur has started three straight games for the Spurs after missing the first half of January with an injury. He makes a world of difference to their midfield and should be ready to play a full 90 minutes this weekend.

Dejan Kulusevski is also back to 100% and Richarlison has a chance of drawing into the starting XI, too. With their star players back in form, expect Tottenham to hold down the fort.

Key stat: Tottenham haven’t conceded a goal to Manchester City at home since 2018.

Quick picks

Heung-min Son over 0.5 SOT (-107): Son’s had a tough go of things this season but it looks like he’s finally starting to find his form.

The South Korean forward netted two goals in Tottenham’s FA Cup match last Saturday. Son has also picked up a shot on target in three of his last four games, including against Man City on January 19.

Heung-min Son to score (+360): We’re expecting Son to register a shot on target and are willing to go one step further by betting on him to score.

The 30-year-old has a history of terrorizing Manchester City and has found the net seven times in 16 games against the club.

He’s also scored in each of Tottenham’s last three Premier League home fixtures against City.
