It can be easy to forget with Omicron swirling around London that there are also a variety of less severe seasonal flu influx in the capital.
And one, in particular, seems more disgusting than others going by the evidence of some clogged up Londoners.
Taking to Reddit, one ill person listed the afflictions of their mysterious illness.

They said: “Any Londoners had this stomach virus going around?
“Had pure watery diarrhoea for nearly a week, every time I eat I end up on the loo.”
It seems they weren’t the only ones.
One person was quick to recount their own graphic version of events.
They said: “I’ve had this was the worst the world was literally flying out my a*** whilst I was being sick into the sink would not recommend at all.”
Another said: “Going around on the continent too. 5 days of very watery diarrhoea.”
Sadly it seems they too had fallen foul of the bug, albeit not in London.
They continued: “Today is the first day without needing to sprint to the toilet every 30 minutes.
“Definitely caught it here though, I left London a good week and a bit before it started.”

But what is it that’s going around?
Well according to the NHS website it could be the Norovirus.
The illness is characterised by vomiting and diarrhoea – two decidedly unfestive ailments.
It states: “Norovirus, also called the “winter vomiting bug”, is a stomach bug that causes vomiting and diarrhoea. It can be very unpleasant but usually goes away in about 2 days.
The main symptoms of norovirus are:
- feeling sick (nausea)
- diarrhoea
- being sick (vomiting)
You may also have:
- a high temperature
- a headache
- aching arms and legs
“The symptoms start suddenly within 1 to 2 days of being infected.”
