London Underground passengers slammed as ‘the reason for delays’ after forcing doors open to cram onboard
Standing on a London Underground platform waiting for the Tube, only to be greeted by nothing but packed carriages, is a familiar scenario. At some hours of the day, it’s impossible to board the Tube without waiting for a number of minutes for a carriage empty enough to squeeze on.
Some passengers are more keen than others to board the Tube at any cost, and have been known to prise open the doors and force themselves onto the carriage. The only problem is, this desperate technique has been known to disrupt the journey for other passengers.
In fact, a recent TikTok shared across social media shows passengers doing just that, and Londoners have been quick to express their views. The controversial video shows three passengers forcing the doors open of the Tube on a busy Saturday night, and holding it open for each other as they clamber on.

The viral video, which already has over 280,000 likes, was posted by @thatkoreanspeaksrussian. The caption read: “Next train came in 3 minutes, and completely empty.” Social media users were quick to express their views in the comments section.
One user said: “why is this so embarrassing to watch – it’s NEVER that deep, wait for the next one.” Another had the same thought: “Will never understand people who pack themselves onto the tube like they’re sardines… wait a few minutes and get the next one.”
One outraged viewer added: “I never get why people do this as the tubes literally come every few minutes.” “The amount of times I see this going and coming home from work! Just wait like 2-3 minutes like others, it’s not that hard, they’re emptier too,” another said.
