One month after giving birth to her son, “Price Tag” singer Jessie J revealed the name of her first child with professional basketball player Chanan Safir Colman.
In an Instagram post, the singer-songwriter posted a photo of her one-month-old son, captioning it “Mans like…Sky Safir Cornish Colman,” finally letting everyone know how to address her baby boy. Cornish is the “Domino” singer’s last name—she was born Jessica Ellen Cornish.
The singer might’ve hinted at her baby’s name before the reveal when she uploaded an Instagram Story of a sky on May 20.
The comments section was filled with love for both Sky and his first-time mom, as fans and celebrities extended their adoration and appreciation for the mom-and-son duo.
A longtime fan of Jessie J shared how she felt emotional seeing the singer “living this beautiful moment and living your dream.”
Another, mollierebekka, commented how she has “never been happier for someone to have a baby they’ve wanted for so long,” adding, “I can’t wait until that’s me[.] [I]t gives me hope [heart emoji].”
Fellow musicians, from Grammy Award winner Cyndi Lauper to “Bleeding Love” singer Leona Lewis, also left comments, with the latter calling Sky “Babyyyyyyy angel [teary-eyed emoji] [heart emojis].”
Prior to the name reveal—a day before Sky marked his first month on Earth, both his parents posted on Instagram to express their love for their baby boy.
Colman, who plays professional basketball in Israel, snapped a photo with a sleeping Sky, to whom he said, “And although my expectations were high[,] you are everything and more,” adding that “when you fall asleep on me with your arms wrapped around me[,] I feel complete.”
Jessie J, who showed several clips of Sky in her post, wrote to him, “Tomorrow you are a month old. It’s felt like one long best day of my entire life. Mummy and Daddy love you more than anything in this world[,] baby boy.”
The “Masterpiece” singer announced the arrival of her firstborn through an Instagram Story posted on May 19. She would later share that her plan to have “a pool birth ideally with no medication” did not go as planned and she, instead, had to undergo C-section. She first announced her pregnancy on Instagram in January. /ra
