A new stand-alone G-SHOCK store has opened its doors to watch enthusiasts in the metro, continuing the brand’s aggressive footprint expansion across the country.
Prominently located on the ground floor of the Ayala Malls Cloverleaf in Quezon City, the latest location is the 14th overall nationwide and the third owned by CSC Time Inc., the official distributor of CASIO Timepieces in the Philippines.
CASIO, as one of the most recognizable watch brands, has a lot riding on opening a new location. It’s one way for the brand to stay visible and accessible to anyone looking for the perfect watch, especially for the new year.
“We always find ways to extend special experiences to our customers,” said Primrose Condez, Retail Manager of CSC Time Inc.
“Filipino watch lovers have become more sophisticated, knowing the items they want. Many have become more playful with their choices, often preferring colorful ones or those that can connect to their smartphones. Fortunately, G-SHOCK has got anything and everything that they could ever want in their timepieces,” she said.
Since this is a company-owned store, Condez said there are a lot more variations in the newly opened store. With the brands that the store carries, they have almost any watch for any occasion or event—whether someone’s going diving or attending a wedding, whether he or she wants a more sporty look or one that can be worn in a business meeting, G-SHOCK is bound to have the perfect watch.
“We even have an extensive collection of timepieces for women,” Condez said. “I say this because some think G-SHOCK is only for men. That is far from the truth. We have other brands in our portfolio, such as SHEEN, that cater specifically for the ladies.”
With many watch brands that have come and gone in the decades since G-SHOCK solidified its reputation for having watches that last, Condez is confident it will continue to find its market and even grow it. More store openings are in the pipeline, including one in Ilocos later this month.
The new G-SHOCK store will offer the joyful experience of in-store shopping for both classic and new product releases because patrons can check the look and feel of these watches or even try them on at the store.
In attendance during the event are CSC Time Inc. officials, including John Ramoran, Human Resources and Admin Manager, and Isabella Concepcion, Marketing Head, as well as members of the media.
“They say that once you have a G-SHOCK, it’s your watch for life. That speaks volumes about the sturdiness of our watches,” she said. “We continue to innovate and keep up with what the market wants, which is why G-SHOCK remains relevant to the public.”
