Four people have been rushed to hospital and major traumas centres after a mezzanine at an East London Pub collapsed this afternoon (12 February). London Ambulance Crews were called at 4.44pm today to Roach Road, Hackney Wick, to a bar named Two More Years to reports of a building collapse.
Thirteen people were treated in total – three patients had potentially serious injuries and 10 had minor injuries. Four people were taken to hospitals and major trauma centres, London Ambulance Service said. The incident took place at independent venue Two More Years and pictures from the scene showed people dangling among the wreckage as others work to clear the debris inside.

Outside, others were draped with warming blankets as they surveyed the scene, PA reports. A forensic team arrived at the scene this evening, now that Ambulance Crews have been stood down.
Investigators are now working to understand the cause of the building collapse including talking to the venue owner(s).
A man who identified himself as a co-owner of the pub, but not the property, named Dan, was very upset by the incident and told MyLondon: “There’s been no structural work since they took it over.
“But fortunately no people have been critically injured and that’s the priority. Thoughts go out to everyone who’s been impacted.”
A local, who wished to remain anonymous, told MyLondon: “It’s really scary. I come here often to work so it’s so strange to see it like this. The bar and kitchen area was under there.”
He added that his friend worked in the venue and that he was concerned he hadn’t heard from her since saying: “I just hope she’s alright”.
A man who was in the venue at the time told the PA news agency: “There was just this sort of cracking sort of noise and dust started coming down.
“Me and my friend just ran to the side and the whole thing just came down in a matter of seconds.”
The man said it was lucky there were not more people sitting directly under the mezzanine floor that came down.
He saw one person being brought out on a stretcher and put into an ambulance, but he said most of the injured appeared to have cuts and bruises rather than anything serious.
Two More Years, the independent venue where the incident occured, has put out a message on their instagram page.
They said: “At around 5pm today, the mezzanine in our venue collapsed. Thankfully no one has sustained any critical injuries. This does mean the venue will remain closed for now and all dinner reservations and party bookings are cancelled. Our thoughts are with everyone that has been affected.
