Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 – How to Complete Week 1 Quests

A new season has just started in Fortnite, bringing plenty of challenges to complete. However, you will only see three missions this time when you first open the quests menu, and each has two stages. In other words, you must complete the first stage to check the rest of the mission.

However, each stage rewards you with plenty of XP, so you can level up quickly if you complete all of them in your first week. Moreover, the Weekly Bonus Goals will grant you extra XP when you finish a set amount of Weekly Quests. You can check Week 1 challenges in this guide.

Fortnite Wilds: Week 1 quests

In total, this week features seven different missions. They will ask you to handle many tasks, such as traveling distance while grinding or finishing a match in the top 20. You can check how to complete Week 1 quests below.

Stage 1 of 2 – Travel distance while grinding (500)

This quest is pretty easy to complete. All you need to do is travel 500 meters while grinding, and you can do this on vines you find near Rumble Ruins or go to MEGA City and jump on them. As soon as you cover the required distance, you will unlock stage 2 of this mission.

Stage 2 of 2 – Land at a Ruins location and finish in the top 20 players (1)

To complete stage 2, you need to join a new match. Then, you must land at Rumble Ruins in the center of the map or southeast at the Southern Ruin landmark. Alternatively, you can also go north of Shady Stilts at the Northern Ruin landmark. Once done, you need to survive long enough to reach the top 20 of the match. This can be tricky, considering many players will land near these locations to explore the new area and also to complete the quest. To increase your chances of succeeding, try finding a weapon as soon as possible and hide yourself from enemies until you reach the top 20.

Stage 1 of 2 – Damage opponents with the FlapJack Rifle or SMGs (2,000)

The FlapJack Rifle is a new weapon introduced this season, and it seems to be quite powerful. You can find it as standard loot while exploring the Island; a Mythic version is also available in the game and can be obtained from Vaults that require Keycards. Alternatively, you can use SMGs to complete this weekly quest in Fortnite. Once you get the needed weapons, you must deal 2,000 damage to opponents.

Stage 2 of 2 – Spend bars to reroll augments (300)

You need to get at least 300 bars to complete this quest. You can obtain them in many ways, including cash registers, bounties, and from enemies. Once you have them, use the reroll function on the Augments menu until you spend 300 bars.

Stage 1 of 2 – Eliminate enemy players at named locations (7)

When you open the map, you will see several named locations. Visit one or more of them and try to eliminate enemy players while visiting these places. You need to defeat a total of 7 opponents, and you can do this during different matches.

Stage 2 of 2 – Complete a job at a Job Board in different matches (4)

There are plenty of Job Boards on the Island. You can find them at MEGA City, Steamy Springs, Knotty Nets, Creeky Compound, and other locations on the map. Select a job between the several options available, and complete it. Repeat this four times in different matches.

Get covered in mud and hit enemy players with a Thermal DMR (10)

To finish this weekly quest in Fortnite, you must find a Thermal DMR first. When you have it, go to Creeky Compound to find mud and get covered in it. Then, try to hit enemy players ten times.

New Fortnite weekly quests will arrive soon, and so will our guides. In the meantime, you can check how to earn free V-Bucks in the game.
