Flyers vs. Maple Leafs prop picks: William Nylander continues to produce

The Maple Leafs host the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday in a game that Toronto’s offence should see no shortage of chances in.

The pregame narrative: Auston Matthews is out once again but there is still a lot of value to be had when scoping out Leafs in the player prop market. A number of players on the squad are rolling right now and that shouldn’t change in a matchup against the floundering Flyers.

Flyers vs. Maple Leafs prop picks

Best bet: Nylander anytime goalscorer (+150)

Nylander has been playing extremely well of late and that has made him a threat to score on a nightly basis.

The 25-year-old has scored three goals in his last three contests and has registered a marker in four of his last seven games. What’s been extremely encouraging is that even when he hasn’t been tickling twine he’s been involved offensively.

Nylander has tallied a point in nine of his last 10 outings.

His recent shot totals show that he’s feeling confident in his game, too. The winger has fired off three or more shots on goal in five of his last six outings.

Nylander’s chances of scoring will also be lifted by the horrible goaltending Philadelphia has seen over the last month of the season. The Flyers’ 5v5 save percentage of .885 is the fifth-worst mark in the league since Mar. 19.

Expect Nylander to be one of the driving forces of Toronto’s offence on Tuesday.

Key stat: Nylander has scored seven goals over his last nine games.

Quick Picks

Hayes over 2.5 shots (-110): Hayes has been blowing past this total as he sees usage on Philadelphia’s first line and top power-play unit. The 29-year-old has ripped off four shots or more in seven of his last nine games, giving his current line some real nice value.

Mikheyev anytime goalscorer (+225): The home and road goal splits for Mikheyev continue to be stark. The Russian forward has scored 11 of his 17 goals at home this year and has lit the lamp in six of his last nine home games. He’ll likely continue to skate on the first line alongside John Tavares and Mitch Marner with Matthews still out.
