The most thrilling part of the Fiba World Cup has arrived with Manila hosting the knockout phase, the final five days of of the global meet, kicking off on September 5 until September 10.

Even with home team Gilas Pilipinas out, fans still have access to world-class competition in the Final Phase with the top eight teams after the grueling group stages converging at Mall of Asia Arena starting with the quarterfinal phase.

The remaining teams in contention in the Final Phase are Italy, United States, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Canada and Slovenia.

There are multiple ways of watching the games live on various platforms in the Philippines, aside from catching the action live at the venue.

Where can you watch on free TV?

The Fiba World Cup games will be aired on free TV channels like TV5 and One Sports and cable channel One Sports+ with Cignal TV as Fiba World Cup’s official broadcaster in the Philippines.

Cignal TV is offering a pay-per-view, no commercial access for all Fiba World Cup games for a subscription fee.

The live broadcast of the final phase games will be on One Sports and One Sports+.

For the first time since the competition started, Team USA’s match will be aired on free TV as it tries to get past the quarterfinals against Italy on September 5.

  • Lithuania vs. Serbia, 4:45 pm. Mall of Asia Arena.
  • U.S. vs. Italy, 8:40pm. Mall of Asia Arena

Where can you watch online?

Online streaming of the games is locally available on the Smart Livestream App and Pilipinas Live App.

The Smart Livestream App is offering free live stream access to all the Fiba World Cup Games exclusive to all Smart subscribers via Smart mobile data, TNT or PLDT wifi connections.

Pilipinas Live App will likewise stream all the games on its platform for a monthly subscription fee available to all network users. The service includes multi-cam viewing setup and pre and post-game coverages.

Fiba also has the Courtside 1891 digital platform, which will air the 92 World Cup games online on selected territories in the world, not including the Philippines. The NBA app and NBA.com will also carry the Courtside 1891 games.

Is there a Fiba World Cup TV coverage in the US?

In the U.S.: The quarterfinal matchup against Italy will be aired on ESPN2, with the broadcast beginning at 8:30 a.m. EDT on Tuesday. –Associated Press
