A London temple is finally welcoming back worshippers for Diwali after having to limit celebrations last year due to the pandemic.
Last year, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden were forced to embrace innovative ways to connect individuals, families and communities through online assemblies and services during the Diwali period.
This was according to the Government guidelines as the country was plunged into lockdown.

The Mandir produced a series of special programmes that were streamed live through a webcast across the UK.
The online services allowed thousands to participate from the safety of their homes, whilst observing the rituals simultaneously from the Mandir.
But, with restrictions eased this year, a volunteer at the Mandir has disclosed plans for the coming celebrations.
Volunteer Bhavik said: “This year, the Temple, will celebrate the values and traditions of Diwali from 4 to 7 November 2021, allowing devotees and visitors to visit the Mandir in a Covid-safe manner. “
An online booking service is in place and visitors can sign up before visiting on neasdentemple.org.

Bhavik added: “As every year, we look forward to celebrating Diwali and this year many family and friends will be reuniting to celebrate following the difficulties and challenges of the last 18 months or so.
“We encourage everyone celebrating to follow Covid-19 safety guidelines.”
