BBC Graham Norton Show: Jamie Dornan’s wife who was in Casualty and very famous forgotten Hollywood star ex-girlfriend

The celebrities on Graham Norton’s iconic red sofa never fail to disappoint.

But tonight is looking even more glitzy than usual, with a sofa full of A-listers ready to share tales and jokes on the BBC show.

Tonight, we can expect Dame Judi Dench, Tinie Tempah, Jamie Dornan, Bruce Springsteen, Jesy Nelson, Salma Hayek and even President Barack Obama.

Though they’re all famous in their own right, one of these celebs has an extremely famous ex-partner – and you may have forgotten they ever dated.

You might recognise actor Jamie Dornan from the series The Fall in which he starred alongside Gillian Anderson.

The pair dated for two years, but kept it pretty under-wraps

Or perhaps more likely, from the film series he went on to star in a little later on – Sam Taylor-Johnson’s Fifty Shades Of Grey.

But before any of this fame, Jamie was working as a model, and at a modelling job for the brand Asprey one day in 2003 he met actor Kiera Knightley.

Jamie was 22 at the time and Keira just 20.

At the time, neither were quite mega-stars yet (though this was the same month that Keira’s breakthrough role, the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, hit cinemas).

When asked whether they were in a relationship, Keira replied, “Well, it looks that way, doesn’t it?”, InStyle reported.

The pair dated for two years before calling it quits. Jamie’s rep told People at the time: “Keira and Jamie have decided to call a halt to their relationship in its current phase but they remain completely committed to each other as friends and will continue to see each other in this capacity.”

Kiera said of their breakup: “I think it’s important to make time for the people in your life who you love and who love you back.” Interesting.

Now, as opposed to the characters of his starring roles on telly, Jamie is happily married with children.

He married his wife Amelia Warner in 2013. She is also an actor, and has appeared in Waking the Dead and Casualty.

The two live in Gloucestershire, and have three children together.
